Kitchener Park: Tree Removal Notice

In order to make room for the amenities we are upgrading in Kitchener Park, one of the trees near the playground site is going to have to be removed. Details on the tree removal are available here. The City and the Community League are committed to preserving mature trees wherever possible. More details about the proposed Kitchener Park Redevelopment are available here.

You’re invited to the Oliver Community Festival!

The Oliver Community Festival is back!  The festival is taking place Saturday June 7, 2014 on 102 Ave between 121-124 Streets and runs from 10:00-3:00 pm. Come out for free breakfast, live entertainment, bake sale, 40+ vendors, and more! We are looking for volunteers to share just 2 hours of their time for our kids/family activities. Jane’s Walk 2014

Ever heard of Jane’s Walk? It’s a great national event of free walking tours, named for noted urban activist Jane Jacobs and held every year to coincide with her birthday in May.  Former City Councillor Michael Phair is leading the Oliver Jane’s Walk happening on May 5 at 7 p.m. Come check it out!
