Peace Garden Park AGM

The OCL’s Peace Garden Park is holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for its membership, and several positions on its garden committee may be available! Our committee works to ensure the base operating needs of the garden are met and engage our membership. If you want to become involved in your community and believe you have something special to contribute to Peace Garden Park, I encourage you to attend the AGM and participate in our election for the 2020 season!

Committee positions up for regular annual election include:
Communications – engages our membership via email updates
Volunteer Director – help organize various workbees 
Compost Management – monitors our composting
Treasurer – tracks various garden expenses
Member At Large – helps where needed!

When:
Monday, November 18th
7pm – 9pm (our “hard stop” time). Elections will be held once we have cleared all items from the evening’s agenda.

**If you are interested in running for a one year term (starting February 2020), please send an email to garden@olivercommunity.com outlining your name, the position that interests you, a short introduction of yourself and the skills you would bring to the position!**

The Yards Magazine Winter 2019 Launch Party

Save the date! Join us December 5 at the new Royal Alberta Museum as we celebrate five years of The Yards (and the holidays) with Downtown Edmonton Community League and Oliver Community League. We’ll take a look back at five exciting years of growth and transformation in central Edmonton.

Entry is complimentary with a DECL or OCL membership (must present valid current membership card), or $10 through Eventbrite. Thank you to our partners with the Oliver and Downtown Community Leagues for making this event (and the last five years) possible.
