Looking for a fun, social hobby? Our community league is excited to host a monthly series of beginner-friendly swing dance classes the last Wednesday of the month from February to April!
- Venue: Downstairs space at EVO (11508 Jasper Avenue).
- Dates: The last Wednesday of the month: February 25, March 25, April 29
- Time: 7:00-8:00pm – Lesson (followed by social dancing)
Lindy Hop is the original swing dance, created by Black Americans in the 1930s at the Savoy Ballroom during the Harlem Renaissance. It is a partnered dance known for a rhythmic, improvisational, and self-expressive style.
What to Expect:
- No Partner Required: Come as you are! We rotate during class, so you’ll meet plenty of new people.
- Zero Pressure: One hour beginner-friendly lesson followed by social dancing. We want you to learn something and to have fun.
- Expert Instruction: Learn from skilled, accommodating instructors who live in your neighbourhood.
