SUMMARY:Healthy Community Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Studies show a healthier community environment helps residents be successful in staying active\, eating healthily\, and being socially connected. We can be successful by working together with our friends and neighbours! \nJoin us for an evening to discuss specific opportunities to build a healthier community right here in Oliver! We’ll learn more about what makes a healthy community\, then workshop some ideas we can implement right here in our own neighbourhood. \nJoin us on May 25\, 2023 from 5:30 – 8:00 PM at Grace Lutheran Church (9907 114 st) \nReceive a complimentary dinner and up to $25 in grocery store gift cards for registering and participating in the workshop\, surveys\, and evaluation form. \nClick to sign up or email hforhce@ualberta.ca by May 21\, 2023. \nHosted by the University of Alberta’s Housing for Health project in partnership with the Oliver Community League and the Edmonton Multicultural Health Brokers (EMHB) \nFor more information on Housing for Health\, see: www.uab.ca/h4h \nSave the date – Part 2\, where we’ll refine our idea and and make our action plan\, will take place on June 14th.
