DESCRIPTION:Join us for Funday Fitness at Ezio Faraone Park\, with Pilates by Neema of Studio 124 Pilates\nNeema is a 200+ hours STOTT PILATES Certified Instructor with a desire to make movement feel playful again. Having received training in 2022 and joined the Wihkwentowin area in 2023\, she seeks to use group fitness as a community building practice and as a gathering place accessible for all bodies and socio-economic statuses. These values remain the driving force of her pilates practice\, The Rooted Centre.\nThis is a 55 minute beginner’s Mat Pilates class.\nMust have a current community league membership to participate.  Join or renew your FREE membership online  \nREGISTER HERE\n\nNo extra equipment is required\, other than your body and a water bottle.\nYoga Mat\, Beach towel or grass can all be used as a surface to practice on depending on preference and additional yoga mats can be provided.\n“In the event of rain\, forecasted rain\, or if Environment Canada’s Air Quality Health Index (AQHI)  is at level 7 or above\, the session will be held the following Monday. She suffers from a slight case of drag delusion and you might end up with the same incurable disease after seeing her perform too! Now welcome to a stage near you\, the part time woman\, full time train-wreck\, national sensation who put the condom in condiment… Celine Dejion!! \n  \n \n  \n(host) Gemma Nye: Gemma Nye is a nonbinary drag personality who was voted Best Host at the 2022 Stiletto Awards and held the title of Mx. DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Damian Cirelli and Ale Equiza\nCurious about the trees in our neighbourhood and local green spaces? Join us for a Tree ID Walk and Seed Sharing Event. We’ll start at Grant Notley Park and make our way through the River Valley\, Promenade\, 119 Street\, and finish at Peace Garden Park. \nAlong the way\, you’ll learn how to identify common urban and river valley tree species\, discover what’s growing in the community garden\, and take a seed sample to try this season. \nThe walk includes going down the stairs next to the Le Marchand Building. If that’s a challenge\, you’re welcome to stay at Grant Notley Park\, enjoy the view of the Victoria Golf Course\, and rejoin the group as we continue along the Promenade. \nOr feel free to join us at Peace Garden Park at 11 am for a short stroll through the gardens. \nWalking shoes\, water\, and binoculars are recommended. \nCome explore\, learn\, and grow with us! \n \n
