Keely Scott has been teaching Gentle Hatha yoga at the Oliver Community League for more than a decade. Her program is a staple for some of our residents who have been attending weekly for years.
Keely has been teaching yoga for 14 years and is a certified teacher and teacher trainer with the Yoga Association of Alberta, as well as a mentor teacher for the Himalayan teacher training program. Keely loves sharing the gifts of yoga through a gentle inviting practice which is lighthearted and encourages deeper connections within.
This season’s yoga classes at the league are as follows:
Nov 1- Dec 13 (no class Nov 29) 6 weeks $72
Jan 10- Feb 28, 8 weeks, $96
Mar 7 – Apr 25, 8 weeks $96
May 2- June 20, 8 weeks $96
The classes are always on Tuesdays from 6-7:45 pm and take place at the hall. Keely’s Gentle Hatha will aid you to learn and refine the foundations of yoga to help bring the body and mind into balance through gentle limbering and strengthening exercises, breath practices, introductory meditation and guided relaxation. Classes will help to bring strength and flexibility to the body and calm the busy mind. Enjoying time to create stability, flexibility, balance, awareness, and relaxation in body, breath and mind.
