We’re Hiring! Summer Student Researcher 2017

Please apply to officemanager@olivercommunity.com by Thursday, May 11 at 5 pm to be considered for the position of Summer Student Researcher.

The position runs for 8 weeks, 30 hours per week.  Pay is hourly at $16 per hour.

Researcher will undertake various activities to inform Oliver Community League about the social services that exist in Oliver, the diversity of social service needs in Oliver, and identify any gaps and opportunities that exist.  The Researcher will update and expand upon our existing research and provide a report to the Board.

This is a Canada Summer Jobs granted position and as such, the Researcher must meet the following:

(a) is between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
(b) was registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year;
(c) intends to return to school on a full-time basis during the next academic year;
(d) is a student in a secondary, post-secondary, CEGEP (Quebec only), vocational or technical program;
(e) is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and;
(f) is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations

    I am a third year university student who studying in U of A, major in Economics and minor in Human Geography and Planning. I am looking for a job that is relevent to my study field.
    Getting into planning researches will be a delightful experience during my post-secondary study, I hope I will have a chance to work with the seniors expertises in Planning!
