DESCRIPTION:Studies show a healthier community environment helps residents be successful in staying active\, eating healthily\, and being socially connected. We can be successful by working together with our friends and neighbours! \nJoin us for a second evening to discuss specific opportunities to build a healthier community right here in Oliver! We brainstormed some ideas\, now we’ll refine and set an action plan to implement it! \nJoin us on June 14\, 2023 from 5:30 – 8:00 PM at Grace Lutheran Church (9907 114 st) \nReceive a complimentary dinner and up to $25 in grocery store gift cards for registering and participating in the workshop\, surveys\, and evaluation form. \nSignup info for this workshop will be available soon!\n \nHosted by the University of Alberta’s Housing for Health project in partnership with the Oliver Community League and the Edmonton Multicultural Health Brokers (EMHB) \nFor more information on Housing for Health\, see: www.uab.ca/h4h \nDon’t worry! DESCRIPTION:The Oliver Community League Annual General Meeting is taking place this year on Thursday\, May 26\, 2022. The AGM will be held in person at the Grace Lutheran\, 9907 114 St NW\, and will also have attendance by Zoom as an option. \nPlease register at Eventbrite if you are attending virtually. \nThe AGM will start at 6:30 pm MST. \nWe’re looking at having community members step up into the following open Board Director positions: \n\nSecretary\nMembership Director\nHall & RecreAction Director\nCivics Director\nEvents Director\nGarden Director\nCommunications Director\nSocial Advocacy Director\nVolunteer Director\nTreasurer\nDirector @ Large x 3\n\nWe are also looking to have folks join various committees to support Directors and help support the community in various activities.
