SUMMARY:Community League Day & Yard Sale
DESCRIPTION:The Oliver Community League is hosting its first community yard sale! And we are also celebrating Community League Day! \nSo we are seeking all of Edmonton’s yard sale lovers… and treasure hunters\, thrifters\, and value seekers! \nThere will be plenty of opportunities to negotiate great deals! There will also be entertainment\, food\, and great conversation. \nAnd don’t forget to bring cash! \n  \nFor those interested in selling:\nAre you interested in clearing some clutter from your home? Making some extra spending money? Then we suggest renting a table at this community yard sale! \nThe table rental is $25 and tables are limited. Complete this table application form and we will contact you to finalize your reservation –Table Application Form. \nPlease be aware\, Oliver residents with an OCL membership get first priority for tables. \n  \nFAQ:\n1. Can my business rent a table?\nWe are limiting this event to households that would like to sell their personal items. Most of the residents of Oliver don’t have a garage or yard to host their own sale. This is their event to liquidate some of their items. \nWe may have some tables available in future events for vendors. \n2. Will there be an ATM onsite or can I use my card?\nThere will NOT be an ATM onsite so make sure you bring some cash. Some of the sellers may be comfortable with etransfers or have payment processor capabilities. OCL is not responsible for any private transactions during the event. \n3. Can I share a table with a neighbour or friend?\nAbsolutely! \n4. What items can I sell?\nObviously…nothing illegal. This may include (but not limited to) the sale of weapons\, tobacco\, alcohol\, food\, and hazardous items. \nAnd take a look at this Government of Canada website. This has some good guidance on prohibited items (who knew baby walkers were illegal?!) \nAgain\, OCL will not be responsible for any private transactions. \n5. Can I get a refund?\nYou have to negotiate that with the seller. \n6. Is it possible to donate items to be sold?\nThe Oliver Community League will be hosting a communal table and is selling donated items. The proceeds from this table is going to be donated to charity (charity to be determined). \n7. I have some items that didn’t sell and I don’t want to take home with me. What can I do with these?\nYou are responsible for all of your items and you have to ensure your table is clear at the end of the event. We are working with local charities to be onsite at the end of the event so they can accept donations of unsold items. \n8. Do you need volunteers?\nAre you interested in volunteering for this event (or any OCL events)? Check out our Volunteer page to contact us – OCL Volunteers. We will need help with setup\, cleanup\, and various tasks throughout the day! \n  \n
