Curious about the trees in our neighbourhood and local green spaces? Join us for a Tree ID Walk and Seed Sharing Event. We’ll start at Grant Notley Park and make our way through the River Valley, Promenade, 119 Street, and finish at Peace Garden Park.
Along the way, you’ll learn how to identify common urban and river valley tree species, discover what’s growing in the community garden, and take a seed sample to try this season.
The walk includes going down the stairs next to the Le Marchand Building. If that’s a challenge, you’re welcome to stay at Grant Notley Park, enjoy the view of the Victoria Golf Course, and rejoin the group as we continue along the Promenade.
Or feel free to join us at Peace Garden Park at 11 am for a short stroll through the gardens.
Walking shoes, water, and binoculars are recommended.
