Howdy folks, welcome to the Oliver Community League 2023 Casino Fundraiser!
What is a casino fundraiser?
Alberta is the only province in Canada where charitable organizations are licensed to conduct and manage casino events. This is an important source of revenue for the community league and will help us set up programs and activations for the community in the future.
Casino fundraisers are essential to non profit orgs such as the OCL. $137.2 million was earned by charitable organizations in 2020-2021. Learn more about charitable gaming here.
Volunteer with us!
We’re looking for volunteers at several different time slots over two days, February 20 and 21, 2023, to help with our casino fundraising at Grand Villa Casino (10204 104 Ave NW). Casino volunteering with the OCL is simple and easy, with **no prior experience needed.**
What’s in it for you?
There are reimbursements for specific costs (parking, child care) and a FREE MEAL is provided to all volunteers. Some of the shifts are odd times, but greatly help the Oliver Community League secure funding for the community. Here is a list of expenses that can be covered by the OCL for volunteers.
